Our prediction for this Premier League match:
Tottenham will be looking to make a flying start to the new Premier League campaign as they host Burnley to their Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday. Spurs are seen as hot favourites to win their opener, but the newcomers should not be written off just yet. Loanee Joao Palhinha is widely expected to start as well as fellow summer signing Mohammed Kudus. Heung-min Son is no longer part of the team after joining Los Angeles FC earlier this month. The likes of Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, and Radu Dragusin are sidelined with injuries.
The Clarets, on the other hand, secured a quick return to the Premier League, with the team impressing in the 2024/2025 Championship campaign. Burnley, though, are not regarded as good travellers and given their six-game losing run at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, home win should be considered. A man to watch in the away team will be summer recruit Armando Broja, while defender Bashir Hemphrys misses out with a thigh problem.
Highlighted Player (Ben Davies):

After graduating from the Swansea City academy, Ben Davies was surprisingly given a chance to shine as Neil Taylor suffered a difficult injured, and he grabbed it with both hands to become a starter in his first ever Premier League season. The Welsh left-back, who is also capable of operating in the heart of defence, continued with impressive performances in the elite division and one more strong season saw Tottenham Hotspur express their interest in his services and eventually secured his signature.
Davies has since been vying England international Danny Rose for a starting position and even though he has been playing second fiddle of late, the defender is seen as a great prospect for the future.
After initially playing at left-back in the Wales National team, Davies was moved to left centre-back position as Chris Coleman switched to 5-4-1 formation, and he has impressed playing alongside captain Ashley Williams and James Chester as the Dragons clinched qualification to the Euro 2016 finals.
Highlighted Team (Burnley):

Burnley were one of the founding members of the Football League back in 1888. The Clarets did remarkably well to win the FA Cup trophy back in 1914 and the club owners have been trying to bring glory days back to Turf Moor ever since.
Burnley defeated Liverpool in the 1913/1914 FA Cup final and, no doubt, this is regarded as the greatest achievement in the club’s history. The Clarets finished the 2015/2016 Championship campaign in top position in the standings and, as a result, they will participate in the English Premier League in the 2016/2017 season.
Burnley play their home games at Turf Moor and the capacity of the stadium is 21,401. The Clarets have won two Community Shield trophies so far, in 1960 and 1973, but they have yet to clinch the Premier League title. Claret is the dominant colour of the team’s home shirts.
