Our prediction for this Premier League match:
West Ham United and Leeds United face each other at London Stadium in the opening match of Sunday’s program. The Hammers did well to secure the Premier League survival, but they surely want to impress in their last home game of the season. All Declan Rice, Said Benrahma, and Jarrod Bowen are pushing for a start, while Vladimir Coufal is a major doubt. Forward Gianluca Scamacca remains in the recovery room, meaning that Michail Antonio will continue to lead the line for the capital club.
The Whites, on the other hand, are eager to escape the danger zone. Leeds United want this win more than West Ham and we predict that the visitors are going to pick up vital three points from Sunday’s clash. Junior Firpo is banned for the match, while all Dallas, Sinisterra, and Adams miss out with injuries. Liam Cooper faces race against the clock to be fit for the game.
Highlighted Player (Mark Noble):
Mark Noble is a professional footballer who plays for West Ham United. He was born on 8 May, 1987 and he began his youth career at the age of 13. Mark Noble made his debut for the West Ham United senior team in August 2004 in a 2-0 win over Southend. He plays as a midfielder and is considered one of the best penalty takers in the Premier League.
In 2014 Mark Noble was ranked in the top five penalty takers in Europe. Noble won the Football League Championship twice with West Ham United (2004/2005, 2011/2012) and, speaking of his individual honours, he won the Hammer of the Year award on two occasions (2011/2012, 2013/2014).
Mark Noble has yet to earn his first cap for the England national team. However, it has to be noted that the West Ham United midfielder scored three goals in 20 appearances for England U21. Following some impressive showings in the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign, the midfielder was tipped to make England’s Euro 2016 squad, but he eventually missed out.
Highlighted Team (Leeds United):
Leeds United is one of the clubs that won the FA Cup. The Whites outplayed Arsenal in the final of the prestigious competition back in 1972, but they clinched the League Cup trophy as well. Leeds United faced the Gunners in the 1967/1968 League Cup final and it has to be noted that Terry Cooper scored the winner for the Whites.
Leeds play their home games at Elland Road and the capacity of the stadium is 37,914. The club was founded in 1919 and they have won three First Division (Premier League) trophies ever since (1968/1969, 1973/1974, 1991/1992). Leeds United made it to the Champions League final in 1975, but they were beaten by Bayern Munich in the title clash.
The Whites were impressive under David O’Leary. The likes of Jonathan Woodgate, Lee Bowyer, Harry Kewell, Mark Viduka and Ian Harte were part of the Elland Road outfit back then and they did well to reach the semis of the Champions League in 2001.
