Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
Almeria and Valencia face each other at Estadio de los Juegos Mediterraneos in the closing match of Saturday’s program in La Liga round 6. The Andalusians do not seem to be competitive at this level, with the team collecting only one point in total in the process and, as a result, the bookies see them as underdogs in the clash with Valencia. Largie Ramazani should once again start from the bench following his under-par performance in a 2-1 loss to Villarreal, while Martin Svidersky remains on the sidelines with an ACL injury.
Los Che, on the other hand, produced their best display of the season at the weekend, with the team outplaying star-studded Atletico Madrid 3-0 at “Mestalla” and given Almeria’s slow start to the season, we believe that punters from all around the globe can find value in betting on the visiting team. Both Gabriel Paulista and Alberto Mari are sidelined with injuries, while Dimitri Foulquier is a major doubt.
Highlighted Player (Gonzalo Melero):
Gonzalo Melero is a Spanish footballer born in Madrid on January 2, 1994. Melero’s main position is attacking midfielder, but he plays as a central midfielder as well. The Spaniard started his youth career at Zona Norte and in the summer of 2004 he was spotted by Real Madrid scouts. Melero did not hesitate and he joined the famous Spanish club.
In the 2013/2014 season the 183-cm-tall midfielder played for Real Madrid C, scoring 7 goals in 37 appearances for the team in the process. The following season he played for Real Madrid B, but he made no more than 6 appearances for Castilla in Segunda Division. In 2015 he decided to change the club, signing a two-and-a-half-year contract with fellow Segunda Division side Ponferrardina.
Despite establishing himself as a first-team regular with la Ponfe, Gonzalo Melero joined Huesca on July 27, 2016. The Spanish midfielder impressed in the 2017/2018 season with Leo Franco’s troops, scoring 16 goals in 38 appearances in the process.
Highlighted Team (Valencia):
Founded on March 18, 1919, Valencia FC are a Spanish football club that compete in La Liga. Los Che play their home games at Estadio de Mestalla, the stadium which was opened back in May, 1923. The capacity of the venue is 50,000. Seeing that bats are quite common in Valencia, it is no surprise they are nicknamed the Bats.
Valencia made it to the Champions League final on two occasions (2000, 2001), but they were beaten in the title games by Real Madrid and Bayern Munchen respectively. The Spanish club, though, did well to win the UEFA Cup title in the 2003/2004 season, with the team beating Marseille in the final of the competition.
A number of top-class footballers were part of the club in the past, with the likes of Pablo Aimar, Ruben Baraja, David Albelda, Santiago Canizares, John Carew and Gaizka Mendieta all playing for the Estadio de Mestalla outfit. Valencia main colors are white and black, whilst they often where orange jerseys and shorts when playing on the travels.
