Atletico Madrid play host to Deportivo Alaves at their Estadio Metropolitano on day 14 of the new Primera Division campaign. Los Rojiblancos are eyeing their fifth consecutive win in all competitions, but they will have to prove their worth on the field. The good news for the hosts is that important defender Robin Le Normand returned to training, but Saturday’s clash comes too early for the former Real Sociedad man.
Thomas Lemar remains in the recovery room, while important midfielder Marcos Llorente is back to contention after overcoming his injury. The Basques, on the other hand, failed to impress in a 3-0 loss to Villarreal before the international break and given their five-game losing run on the road, we believe that there is a big value in betting on Diego Simeone’s troops. Both Hugo Novoa and Carlos Benavidez are out of contention with injuries for the visiting side.

Anthony Griezmann is a French forward born on 21st March 1991 in Macon, and he is widely regarded as one of Europe’s most exciting footballers at the moment. Griezmann continued the rich vein of form at Vicente Calderon, scoring some important goals as los Colchoneros enjoyed domestic and European success, while also becoming a key member of the France national team.
Playing as a winger or second striker, Griezmann possesses impressive technical skills, he is a strong finisher and still finds time to work hard for his side, so no wonder he is widely regarded as one of the leading forwards on the continent. He won the U19 European Championship with France and is tipped to lead Les Bleus to glory on senior level as well.

Alaves is a Spanish football club located in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Alava. The club were founded in 1921 and they play their home games at Estadio Mendizorrotza. The capacity of the stadium is 19,840 and it has to be noted that it is the third oldest stadium in Spanish football. After spending several years in the Spanish Segunda Division, los Babazorros returned to the top flight in 2016.
The color of Alaves’ home kit is blue and white and the club’s local rivals are fellow Basque sides Real Sociedad, Athletic Club, Osasuna and Eibar.
