Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
Real Betis will be aiming to recover from an unexpected loss to Real Valladolid when they face Deportivo Alaves in the La Liga round 20. Los Beticos have suffered only one loss at home this season, which is surely fuelling fans with optimism ahead of Saturday’s clash. There are no fresh injury worries in the home team, but all Pablo Fornals, Hector Bellerin, and William Carvalho remain in the recovery room.
The Basques, on the other hand, suffered a 1-0 loss to Girona at the weekend, but it has to be noted that they missed a couple of nice opportunities to score. Alaves and Betis seem to be evenly matched at the moment and, taking everything into account, we believe that there is a big value in betting on draw. Both Joan Jordan and Carlos Martin limped off with injuries in the last league match, with duo Guevara – Conechny being ready to step up.
Highlighted Player (Rui Silva):
Born on the 7th of February, 1994, Rui Silva is a Portuguese footballer who plays for Granada in LaLiga. The Maia born started his football journey playing Futsal before eventually joining the youth setup at Maia FC in 2006. Two years later, on the 26th of January, 2014, he made his professional debut in a Portuguese Super Cup group game against Leixoes SC and kept a clean sheet. The 6ft 3-inch tall goalkeeper went on to make over 50 appearances for the club before leaving for Spain in 2017 to join his current club Granada FC on a four-and-a-half-year deal.
Additionally, the 25-year-old has represented Portugal at the youth level, winning his standalone cap for its under-21 team in a friendly against England on the 13th of November, 2014.
Highlighted Team (Alaves):
Alaves is a Spanish football club located in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Alava. The club were founded in 1921 and they play their home games at Estadio Mendizorrotza. The capacity of the stadium is 19,840 and it has to be noted that it is the third oldest stadium in Spanish football. After spending several years in the Spanish Segunda Division, los Babazorros returned to the top flight in 2016.
The color of Alaves’ home kit is blue and white and the club’s local rivals are fellow Basque sides Real Sociedad, Athletic Club, Osasuna and Eibar. Alaves made it to the UEFA CUP final in 2001, but they were beaten by Liverpool 5-4 in a thrilling football clash. Anyhow, that is still regarded as the club’s biggest success. Los Babazorros booked their place in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals on four occasions and they have yet to win the Primera Division trophy.
