Estadio Benito Villamarin will be packed when Real Betis kickstart the new La Liga campaign with a home match against Girona. Los Beticos were having their ups and downs in preseason, but their 1-1 draw with Bayer Leverkusen in the last warm-up game is surely fuelling fans with optimism. Summer signing Diego Llorente is likely to make their official Betis debuts against Girona, while experienced midfielder Isco misses out with injury.
The Catalans, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in back-to-back defeats to Newcastle (0-4) and Bournemouth (2-3) in preseason and seeing that key attacker Artem Dovbyk has joined AS Roma for a fee of €30.50m, home win should be considered. Cristhian Stuani is considered one of the best Uruguay attackers. Stuani was born on 12 October, 1986 and he began his senior career at Danubio. In 2008 he signed a contract with Reggina, but he failed to impress in 17 appearances for the Italian team.
