Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
Following a 3-1 loss to Almeria, Celta Vigo will look to return to winning ways in La Liga when they take on Osasuna on Saturday. Os Celeste are eager to put an end to their five-game winless run, and they are likely to fight tooth and nail against los Rojillos. Midfielder Gabriel Veiga misses the match through suspension, while all Daniel De, Augusto Solari, and Hugo Mallo remain in the recovery room.
Osasuna, on the other hand, proved their worth in a 2-0 win over Real Valladolid, with the team moving closer to the Europa League berth. Los Rojillos, though, are not regarded as good travellers, and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Celta’s party at Estadio de Balaidos. There are no fresh selection worries in the away side ahead of the trip to Galicia.
Highlighted Player (Hugo Mallo):
Hugo Mallo is a Spanish footballer who plays for Celta Vigo as a full back. Mallo, who is a capable of playing at centre back if needed, was born in Marin on 22 June, 1991 and he has been playing for Os Celeste since 2009.
During his youth career Hugo Mallo played for the likes of Porvir and Pontevedra, but he made the biggest progress at Celta Vigo. The Celta defender has three caps for Spain U21 team and he played for the U19 and the U20 teams as well in the past. On 9 January, 2013, Mallo suffered a serious knee injury and, as a result, he was forced to miss the rest of the season.
The right-footed player has a contract with Celta Vigo which expires on 30 June, 2019. You should bear in mind that he scored one goal in 34 appearances for the Galician outfit in the 2015/2016 Primera Division campaign. In the 2014/2015 campaign he scored four goals for Celta in the national championship.
Highlighted Team (Osasuna):
Osasuna are a Basque football team that plays in Spanish La Liga. Los Rojillos are based in Pamplona and and the club were founded in 1920. Estadio El Sadar has been the home of Osasuna since 1967 and the capacity of the stadium is 19,800.
The colour of Osasuna’s home kit is red, while the team’s shorts are navy blue. Los Rojillos dropped to the Segunda Division at the end of the 2013/2014 La Liga campaign, but they did not spend too many time in the Spanish second tier. The club returned to the elite division in 2016 after beating Girona in the play-offs.
Osasuna made it to the Spanish Copa del Rey final in 2005, but they eventually lost to Real Betis after extra time in the title game. The meaning of the word Osasuna is “health” in Basque and it is used in a sense of strength.
