Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
There will be fireworks when Getafe and Atletico Madrid go head to head in a small Madrid derby on Sunday afternoon. Los Azulones aim to claim a major scalp in La Liga round 27, but they will have a mountain to climb in the local derby. As Getafe failed to impress in a 1-0 loss to Leganes, home win should not be considered. The good news for the hosts is that defender Domingos Duarte is back from suspension.
Los Rojiblancos, on the other hand, aim to build on a hard-fought 1-0 win over Athletic Club. The capital club want to stay in the title race and given Getafe’s under-par performance in the previous local derby, we are tempted to put our money on Diego Simeone’s troops. A man to watch in the away team will be Julian Alvarez, who returns to the starting XI after scoring as a substitute against Bilbao, while both Koke and Cesar Azpilicueta remain in the treatment room.
Highlighted Player (Djené):

A central defender who can equally be deployed as a right-back, Djene Dakonam has emerged as one of the most influential Getafe players in the 2017/18 season. His road to prominence was a long one, however, and Djene had to bide his time in order to be recognized for quality he undoubtedly possesses. Dapaong-born Togolese international, Djene Dakonam made his first football steps as a youth member of Etoile Filante.
Spells in Benin and Cameroon with Tonnerre d’Abomey and Coton Sport, respectively, saw Djene Dakonam grab attention of Alcoron, who moved in to bring him to Spain in 2014. During two years in Spain Djene Dakonam made 59 league appearances before moving to Sint-Truidense. It was in Belgium that Djene Dakonam proved his defensive versatility and Getafe came calling the very next year, in 2017.
Djene proved to be an instant hit with the Azulones and is hoping a move to one of Europe’s biggest clubs will not be too far away for him. The likes of Arsenal and Tottenham have been sniffing around him during the summer transfer window in 2018 but were ultimately scared off by his £31 million release clause.
Highlighted Team (Atletico Madrid):

Atletico Madrid are a Spanish team that plays in Primera Division (La Liga). Los Rojiblancos or los Colchoneros play their home matches at Estadio Vicente Calderon, which holds up to 54,960 spectators. Atletico Madrid have won 10 La Liga titles, but they have yet to lift the European Cup (Champions League) trophy.
Los Rojiblancos have won 10 Copa del Rey (Spanish Cup) trophies and it has to be noted that they defeated their bitter local rivals Real Madrid in the 2012/2013 Spanish Cup final. The rivalry between the two capital clubs is pretty big and El Madrileno is regarded as one of the most exciting derbies in the world football.
Atletico Madrid played two Champions League finals under Diego Simeone, but they failed to beat Real Madrid in the title games (2013/2014 and 2015/2016). However, the Argentine tactician helped Atletico Madrid win the La Liga trophy in 2014 and, no doubt, he is one of the most successful coaches in the history of the capital club.
