Girona will be aiming to claim a major scalp in the La Liga round 16 when they take on Real Madrid in the closing match of Saturday’s program. The Catalans have been in a fine form of late, winning three of their last four league matches, but they face a tough challenge against the Spanish giants. The likes of Viktor Tsygankov, Yaser Asprilla, Yangel Herrera, and Gabriel Misehouy are out of contention with injuries for the home side.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men, on the other hand, are eyeing their fourth consecutive win in the Spanish top flight. Real Madrid faced no difficulties in a 2-0 win over Getafe, but beating Girona at Estadio Municipal de Montilivi is easier said than done. As all Camavinga, Alaba, Carvajal, Militao, and Vinicius Junior remain in the recovery room, we do not believe that los Blancos are capable of grabbing more than one point from the match.

Kylian Mbappe is a French footballer who plays for Paris Saint-Germain as a forward. The French rising star began his youth career at AS Bondy and in 2013 he moved to AS Monaco. Mbappe quickly established himself as a regular goalscorer, with the teenager finding the net 15 times in 29 appearances in the Ligue 1 in the 2016/2017 season.

Speaking of his international career, Mbappe played an important role for France at the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals, with the pacey rising star scoring a brace in a thrilling 4-3 win over Argentina in the last 16 of the showpiece tournament. The PSG attacker was born in Paris on December 20, 1998.

The Catalan outfit finished the campaign in second place in the standings, 14 points behind Levante and only two clear of third-placed Getafe. Girona play their home games at Montilivi and the capacity of the venue is 9.286.
Speaking of the club history, Girona were founded in the café Norat in La Rambla of Girona on July 23, 1930 and they played their first official game against Colonia Artigas. A number of Spanish coaches were in charge of the team in the past, but it has to be noted that Uruguayan tactician Dagoberto Moll (1965/1966) and Karoly Plattko (1948/1949) of Hungary were in charge of the club as well.
