Alaves
Following a goalless draw with Villarreal, Real Madrid will look to return to winning ways in La Liga when they host Alaves to their Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Matchday 25. Los Blancos are leading the chase for the title, but Sevilla are still breathing down their neck. The good news for the hosts is that key attacker Karim Benzema has overcome his injury. Gareth Bale is widely expected to drop to the bench.
The Basques, on the other hand, are fighting hard to secure the La Liga survival. Alaves desperately needed a win against Valencia, and they managed to get one, but they will have a mountain to climb in Saturday’s football match. Since Real Madrid are eager to cement top position in the standings, home win should be considered. Vallejo is back to contention, meaning that there should be no absentees in the away team.

Luka Modric is regarded as one of the best central midfielders in world football. The Croatian ace is a product of Dinamo Zagreb’s youth school and it has to be noted that he played 94 league games for the Modri between 2003 and 2008. In 2008 he signed a six-year deal with Tottenham Hotspur for a fee of £16.5 million.
Luka made his Tottenham debut on 16 August, 2008 in a 2-1 loss to Middlesbrough at Riverside Stadium. The Croatian star scored only 13 goals in 127 league appearances for the Spurs, but he is well known for his brilliant passing. In 2012 he signed for Real Madrid for a fee of £30 million and he made his debut against Barcelona in the 2012 Spanish Super Cup, return leg.
Modric quickly established himself as a first-team regular and, no doubt, he helped the capital club win two Champions League trophies (2013/2014, 2015/2016). You should bear in mind that he was named Croatian Footballer of the Year in 2007, 2008, 2011 and 2014.

Alaves is a Spanish football club located in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Alava. The club were founded in 1921 and they play their home games at Estadio Mendizorrotza. The capacity of the stadium is 19,840 and it has to be noted that it is the third oldest stadium in Spanish football. After spending several years in the Spanish Segunda Division, los Babazorros returned to the top flight in 2016.
The color of Alaves’ home kit is blue and white and the club’s local rivals are fellow Basque sides Real Sociedad, Athletic Club, Osasuna and Eibar.
