Real Madrid will be aiming to build on a 2-1 win over Huesca when they take on Valencia in the La Liga derby on Sunday afternoon. Los Blancos proved their worth at the weekend, but they need to keep on raising their form if they are to overtake Atletico Madrid in top position in the standings. Even though Zinedine Zidane has some injury worries, including Sergio Ramos, Dani Carvajala and Eden Hazard, home win should be considered as Valencia are not seen as the team to beat in the 2020/21 season.
The good news for the hosts is that important midfielder Tony Kroos returns to the starting XI after serving his ban in the postponed clash against Getafe. Los Che, on the other hand, are not regarded as good travellers, and we do not believe that they are capable of claiming a major scalp on Matchday 23.

Luka Modric is regarded as one of the best central midfielders in world football. The Croatian ace is a product of Dinamo Zagreb’s youth school and it has to be noted that he played 94 league games for the Modri between 2003 and 2008. In 2008 he signed a six-year deal with Tottenham Hotspur for a fee of £16.5 million.
Luka made his Tottenham debut on 16 August, 2008 in a 2-1 loss to Middlesbrough at Riverside Stadium. The Croatian star scored only 13 goals in 127 league appearances for the Spurs, but he is well known for his brilliant passing. In 2012 he signed for Real Madrid for a fee of £30 million and he made his debut against Barcelona in the 2012 Spanish Super Cup, return leg.
Modric quickly established himself as a first-team regular and, no doubt, he helped the capital club win two Champions League trophies (2013/2014, 2015/2016). You should bear in mind that he was named Croatian Footballer of the Year in 2007, 2008, 2011 and 2014.

Founded on March 18, 1919, Valencia FC are a Spanish football club that compete in La Liga. Los Che play their home games at Estadio de Mestalla, the stadium which was opened back in May, 1923. The capacity of the venue is 50,000. Seeing that bats are quite common in Valencia, it is no surprise they are nicknamed the Bats.
Valencia made it to the Champions League final on two occasions (2000, 2001), but they were beaten in the title games by Real Madrid and Bayern Munchen respectively. The Spanish club, though, did well to win the UEFA Cup title in the 2003/2004 season, with the team beating Marseille in the final of the competition.
