All eyes will be on Estadio Santiago Bernabeu when Real Madrid and Valencia face each other in the La Liga round 20. Los Blancos aim to make amends for a 1-0 loss to Getafe, and seeing that Sevilla are breathing down their neck, Saturday’s football match is of big importance for the league leaders. Both Luka Jovic and Sergio Arribas remain quarantined, but important winger Vinicius Junior is back, as well as Eduardo Camavinga, who missed the local derby through suspension.
Los Che, on the other hand, suffered a shocking 2-1 loss to Espanyol in their last league match. Considering that Valencia often struggle on the travels, we do not believe that Real Madrid will have a better chance than this to return to winning ways. Valencia forward Hugo Duro is banned for the match, while both Dimitri Foulquier and Antonio Latorre miss out through injuries.

Luka Modric is regarded as one of the best central midfielders in world football. The Croatian ace is a product of Dinamo Zagreb’s youth school and it has to be noted that he played 94 league games for the Modri between 2003 and 2008. In 2008 he signed a six-year deal with Tottenham Hotspur for a fee of £16.5 million.
Luka made his Tottenham debut on 16 August, 2008 in a 2-1 loss to Middlesbrough at Riverside Stadium. The Croatian star scored only 13 goals in 127 league appearances for the Spurs, but he is well known for his brilliant passing. In 2012 he signed for Real Madrid for a fee of £30 million and he made his debut against Barcelona in the 2012 Spanish Super Cup, return leg.
Modric quickly established himself as a first-team regular and, no doubt, he helped the capital club win two Champions League trophies (2013/2014, 2015/2016). You should bear in mind that he was named Croatian Footballer of the Year in 2007, 2008, 2011 and 2014.

Founded on March 18, 1919, Valencia FC are a Spanish football club that compete in La Liga. Los Che play their home games at Estadio de Mestalla, the stadium which was opened back in May, 1923. The capacity of the venue is 50,000. Seeing that bats are quite common in Valencia, it is no surprise they are nicknamed the Bats.
Valencia made it to the Champions League final on two occasions (2000, 2001), but they were beaten in the title games by Real Madrid and Bayern Munchen respectively. The Spanish club, though, did well to win the UEFA Cup title in the 2003/2004 season, with the team beating Marseille in the final of the competition.
A number of top-class footballers were part of the club in the past, with the likes of Pablo Aimar, Ruben Baraja, David Albelda, Santiago Canizares, John Carew and Gaizka Mendieta all playing for the Estadio de Mestalla outfit. Valencia main colors are white and black, whilst they often where orange jerseys and shorts when playing on the travels.
