Rayo Vallecano
Sevilla play host to Rayo Vallecano at their Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in the opening match of the season. Sevilla chiefs did well to sign Erik Lamela from Tottenham in the summer transfer window, and we are positive that the pacey winger will pose a big threat to the opposition defenders. Youssef En-Nesyri, who scored 18 goals in the 2020/21 La Liga campaign, is widely expected to lead the line for the hosts.
Anyhow, home win should be considered as the Andalusians have turned their Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan into a real fortress. Los Vallecanos, on the other hand, secured promotion to Primera Division by beating Girona in the two-legged tie. The newcomers have big ambitions for the new campaign, but seeing that they often struggle on the travels, we are tempted to put our money on the hosts. In their last meeting at the venue Sevilla crushed Rayo 5-0.

Diego Carlos Santos Silva is a Brazilian footballer who plays for Nantes as a defender. His main position is centre-back and his preferred foot is right. Diego Carlos began his youth career at America-SP and in 2010 he moved to Desportivo Brasil. After spending the 2012/2013 season on loan at Sao Paulo, the 185-cm-tall defender returned to Desportivo Brasil.
However, he made his first-team debut with Madureira during his spell with the club (2014). In 2014 Diego Carlos signed a contract with Portuguese club Estoril Praia and he scored two goals in 39 appearances for the Primeira Liga club. It has to be noted, though, that he played for Porto B (on loan) in the 2014/2015 season.
Diego Carlos moved to French club Nantes in the summer of 2016 and you should bear in mind that he quickly established himself as a first-team regular with les Canaris. The Brazilian footballer scored two goals in 34 appearances for Nantes in the 2016/2017 Ligue 1 campaign. His contract with the Ligue 1 side expires on June 20, 2021.

Rayo Vallecano is a Spanish football club from the Valleas neighbourhood in Madrid and are founded in the year 1924. The club is playing in the Primera Division since 2011 after being in active in the lower divisions for a longer period of time. Rayo Vallecano currently plays it’s home games in the Teresa Rivero Stadium which is also known as the Nuevo Vallecas stadium and holds a capacity of 15 500 seats. The Nuevo Vallecas stadium is one of the smallest ones in the Primera Division. The club colors of Rayo Vallecano are white and red and is also known as Los Vallecanos. Rayo Vallecano is known for it’s ultra’s which are radical left winged political sided.
In the clubs history Rayo Vallecano never won any big prizes. The biggest achievement was in 2000 when the club qualified for the UEFA Cup after winning the Fair Play spot. Rayo Vallecano was one of the biggest surprises in Europe that season and even managed to get to the quarter finals where Rayo got eliminated by Deportivo Alaves.
