Valencia play host to Rayo Vallecano at their Estadio de Mestalla in the closing match of La Liga round 27. Los Che were having their ups and downs before the international break, with the team beating both Real Sociedad and Osasuna on home soil, while losing to Barcelona and Atletico Madrid on the road, and, no doubt, Ruben Baraja’s troops need to start winning on a regular basis if they are to avoid relegation to Segunda Division. Fit-again striker Edinson Cavani is pushing for a start, while both Jaume Domenech and Antonio Latorre remain on the sidelines with injuries.
Los Vallecanos, on the other hand, are on a six-game winless run in La Liga, and seeing that the relegation-threatened hosts want this win more than the visitors, home win should be considered.
