Our prediction for this Scottish Cup match:
Rugby Park will host Monday’s Scottish Cup clash between Kilmarnock and St. Mirren. The Killie faced no difficulties in a 3-1 win over Montrose, but the Saints will pose a much bigger threat for the hosts than their previous rivals. Considering that Kilmarnock looked sharp in front of goal in a 3-0 win over Dundee United, we are positive that they will find the net in Monday’s showdown.
A man to watch in the home side will be experienced attacker Kyle Lafferty, who scored a hat-trick in the midweek triumph. St. Mirren, on the other hand, proved their worth in a 3-1 win over Ross County, and, taking everything into account, we believe that punters can find value in betting on both teams to score. Lee Erwin should keep his place up front after finding the net in the 3-1 win over Ross County.
Highlighted Player (Stuart Findlay):
Stuart Findlay is a Scottish footballer who plays for Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premier League. Born on September 14, 1995, Findlay is a product of the Celtic football school. However, despite spending his youth career at Celtic Park, the Scottish footballer did not see any game action with the Hoops at the senior level.
After ending his loan spells with Greenock Morton, Dumbarton, and Kilmarnock, Stuart Findlay signing a deal with EPL side Newcastle United in the summer of 2016. He made his debut for the Magpies in the FA Cup game against Birmingham City on January 18, 2017.
One year later, he decided to return to Kilmarnock, signing a loan deal with Rugby Park outfit. In July 2018, he joined the Killie permanently. Speaking of his international career, Findlay scored on his debut for the Scotland national team in a 6-0 win over San Marino on October 13, 2019.
Highlighted Team (St Mirren):
St Mirren are Scottish football club that compete in the Scotland Premier League. Founded in 1877, the Buddies play home games at St Mirren Park. The venue, which was built in 2009, can hold up to 8,000 spectators.
St Mirren are well known for their white and black home kit, while black and violet are the dominant colours of their away kit. The Scottish club played their first match against Johnstone Britannia on October 6, 1877, winning the game by one goal to nil. St Mirren have a bitter rivalry with Greenock Morton, and there have always been fireworks in clashes between the two clubs.
The Buddies recorded their biggest win on January 30, 1960, with the team crushing Glasgow University 15-0 in the Scottish Cup. David McCrae is leading the club’s all-time goal-scoring chart with 221 league goals. St Mirren have won the Scotland Premiership three times (1925/26, 1958/59, 1986/87).
