Our prediction for this Scottish Premiership match:
Sunday’s football game between Dundee United and Livingston will bring down the curtain on day 2 of the new Scottish Premier League campaign. The Terrors played out a 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock in their opener, with the Killies scoring the equalizer in the stoppage time. USA international Ian Harkes, who was sent off at the weekend, misses Sunday’s clash through suspension, while fellow midfielder Peter Pawlett remains in the recovery room.
The Lions, on the other hand, suffered a 2-1 loss to Rangers in the opening match of the season. Livingston are desperate to grab something from Sunday’s clash, and, taking everything into account, we believe that there is a big value in betting on draw. Both Morgan Boyes and Tom Parkes are out of contention with injuries, but they should be the only absentees in the away team.
Highlighted Player (Scott McMann):
Born on July 9, 1996, Scott McMann is a Scottish footballer who plays for Hamilton Academical as a defender. His primary position is a centre-back, but he is used as both left and right back as well. Scott McMann is a product of the Hamilton Academical football academy, and he has been playing for the senior team since 2013.
In 2016 he made seven appearances in the league during his loan spell with Clyde. McMann, who represented both Scotland U16 and U17 teams in the past, wears the number 3 on his shirt. The right-footed defender made his Scotland Premier League debut with Hamilton in a 1-0 win over St Mirren on May 23, 2015.
The Scottish footballer scored his first goal for the club in a 3-1 win at Clyde in the League Cup on July 17, 2019. Scott McMann wears the number 3 jersey at Hamilton Academical.
Highlighted Team (Livingston):
Nicknamed the Lions, Livingstone are the Scottish Premier League club founded during the Second World War (1943) under the name of Ferranti Amateurs. Livingston welcome their opponents at Almondvale Stadium, the venue with the capacity of 9,512.
The Lions are known for their amber home kit, with the team wearing white when playing on the travels. Livingston have yet to win the Scottish Premier League title, but they did remarkably well to go all the way in the Scottish League Cup in the 2003/2004 season. The Lions recorded a 2-0 win over Hibernian in the title game played at Hampden Park in Glasgow.
Livingston registered their biggest win against Stranraer (8-0) in August 2012 in the first round of the Scottish League Cup, while their most massive defeat came on December 14, 1974, as they were beaten 8-0 by Hamilton. Legendary Premier League coach Paul Lambert is regarded as one of the club’s most notable players.
