Our prediction for this Scottish Premiership match:
Hope CBD Stadium will host Wednesday’s football match between Hamilton and Motherwell. The Accies are fighting hard to secure the Premiership survival, but they need to get back on course as soon as possible if they are to avoid the relegation. Hamilton are eager to put an end to their eight-game winless run, but given the number of absentees in the home team, we are not tempted to put our money on Brian Rice’s troops. All Fulton, Martin, Ogboe, Smith, Templeton, Thomas, Want, and Winter are all out of contention with injuries.
The Well, on the other hand, did well to beat St. Mirren in their last league match. Motherwell have been in a much better form of late than Hamilton, and, taking everything into account, we predict that the visitors are going to pick up all three points from the match. The likes of Carson, Donnelly, Fox, Grimshaw, Nolan, Seedorf, and Smith are all sidelined with injuries.
Highlighted Player (Scott McMann):
Born on July 9, 1996, Scott McMann is a Scottish footballer who plays for Hamilton Academical as a defender. His primary position is a centre-back, but he is used as both left and right back as well. Scott McMann is a product of the Hamilton Academical football academy, and he has been playing for the senior team since 2013.
In 2016 he made seven appearances in the league during his loan spell with Clyde. McMann, who represented both Scotland U16 and U17 teams in the past, wears the number 3 on his shirt. The right-footed defender made his Scotland Premier League debut with Hamilton in a 1-0 win over St Mirren on May 23, 2015.
The Scottish footballer scored his first goal for the club in a 3-1 win at Clyde in the League Cup on July 17, 2019. Scott McMann wears the number 3 jersey at Hamilton Academical.
Highlighted Team (Motherwell):
Motherwell are professional football club that compete in the Scotland Premiership. The Steelmen play home games at Fir Park, the stadium which can hold up to 13,677 spectators, wearing amber and claret shirts.
White, on the other hand, is the dominant colour of the club’s away kit. Founded in 1886, Motherwell won their first domestic trophy in the 1931/32 season, leaving Scottish giants Rangers and Celtic behind them in the standings. Speaking of the Scottish Cup, the Steelmen have two titles in the cup competition. In the 1951/52 season, Motherwell defeated Dundee 4-0 in the Scottish Cup final, with the team repeating the success 39 years later as they outplayed Dundee United 4-3 in the title game.
The likes of Hamilton Academical and Airdrieonians are regarded as the club’s bitterest rivals. The games between these clubs are known as the Lanarkshire derby. Hughie Ferguson is leading the club’s all-time goal-scoring chart as he netted 284 goals for the Steelmen in league matches.
