Our prediction for this Scottish Premiership match:
Tuesday’s football game between St. Mirren and Celtic, the two top-table sides. The Hoops are brimming with confidence following the Old Firm derby victory and they are eyeing their fourth consecutive league win. Stephen Welsh suffered an injury in the Premiership derby, with Maik Nawrocki likely to replace him in the starting XI, whereas both McCarthy and Carter-Vickers remain on the sidelines with injuries.
Anyhow, the midweek clash is of big importance for Celtic as Rangers are still breathing down their neck with two games in hand. The Saints, meanwhile, outplayed Aberdeen 3-0 in their last game of 2023, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry against the league leaders. In their last meeting at the venue Celtic rolled over St. Mirren 5-1 and we predict that history is going to repeat itself. Australia defender Ryan Strain should be the only absentee in the home team.
