Cartagena
Espanyol play host to Cartagena at their RCDE Stadium in the opening match of the La Liga 2 round 39. Los Periquitos have already secure automatic promotion, but they surely want to put icing on the cake on a very successful season. You should bear in mind that the Catalans are eyeing their sixth consecutive win at home ground. As always, a man to watch in the home team will be Raul De Tomas, who has netted 22 goals in the Spanish second tier so far this season.
Cartagena, on the other hand, are only one point clear of the relegation zone ahead of the trip to Barcelona. The Black and Whites are desperate to grab something from Friday’s clash, but seeing that Espanyol have turned their RCDE Stadium into a real fortress, home win should be considered. Veteran striker Ruben Castro (39) is widely expected to lead the line for the visitors.

Diego Lopez is a Spanish goalkeeper who plays for Milan in the Serie A. Lopez was born in Paradela on 3 November, 1981 and he played for Lugo during his youth career. He made two appearances for Lugo at senior level as well, but in 2000 he joined Real Madrid.
The 196-cm-tall shoot-stopper played for both Real Madrid C and Real Madrid B and he made just two appearances for the first team during his first spell at Real Madrid. After spending five seasons at Villarreal (2007-2012) the Spanish goalkeeper played for Sevilla in the 2012/2013 La Liga campaign, but he made no more than eight league appearances for los Sevillanos.
He returned to Real Madrid on January, 2013 and he quickly established himself as a first-team regular, replacing Iker Casillas in the starting XI. However, Real Madrid fans wanted to see Iker between the posts and, as a result, Diego Lopez was forced to join Milan in 2014. Lopez has only one cap for Spain national team.

Founded on July 25, 1995, Cartagena is a Spanish football club that plays in La Liga 2. Los Boquerones dropped to Segunda B in the 2011/12 season, but following an eight-year absence, they returned to the Spanish second tier.
Cartagena play home matches at Cartagonova, the venue which can hold 15,105 spectators. The stadium was built by CMMP Arquitectos in 1987, and opened the following year. Real Murcia are regarded as the club’s main rivals, with the two teams facing each other in the Derbi of the Region of Murcia. Toche is leading Cartagena’s all-time top goalscoring chart with 39 goals.
Los Boquerones are well known for their black shirts with white stripes. Red, on the other hand, is the dominant colour of the club’s away kit. It has to be noted that Cartagena have never competed in la liga.
