Espanyol and Real Valladolid face each other at Stage Front Stadium in the closing match of Saturday’s program. Los Periquitos aim to recover from a 3-1 loss to Villarreal B and we are positive that they will go all guns blazing at La Pucela. Even though there are no fresh injury worries in the home team, both Olivan and Melamed are pushing for recalls to the starting XI.
Real Valladolid, on the other hand, have been in a splendid form of late, with the team eyeing their sixth consecutive league win. As La Pucela looked sharp in front of goal in a 3-2 win over Mirandes at the weekend, we believe that there is a big value in betting on both teams to score. A man to watch in the away team will be Mamadou Sylla, who scored a brace in the last league match, while forward Raul Moro continues to miss out with a thigh injury.

Jordi Masip is yet another La Masia product. Masip began his youth career at Mercantil, but in 2004 he joined the famous Barcelona football academy. The 180-cm-tall goalkeeper was struggling to establish himself as a first-team regular in Barcelona at senior level, but he played for Barca B in Segunda Division from 2008 to 2014.
After making 79 appearances for Barcelona B, Jordi Masip finally made his senior debut for the Catalan giants on December 16, 2014 in a 8-1 win over Huesca. The two teams faced in Copa del Rey and it has to be noted that Masip made his La liga debut for Barca in a 2-2 draw with Deportivo La Coruna in May, 2014.
In 2017 the Spanish shot-stopper born in Sabadell signed a three-year deal with Real Valladolid. Masip quickly established himself as a first-team regular at La Pucela and you should know that he managed to keep 11 clean sheets in 42 appearances for the club in the 2017/2018 Segunda Division campaign.

Espanyol are a Catalan club that plays in Spanish La Liga. Espanyol were founded in 1900 and their original name was Sociedad Espanola de Football. In 1901 the Catalan club changed its name to Club Espanol de Futbol. Los Periquitos used to play in bright yellow shirts in the past, but current colour of the team’s home kit is blue and white.
