Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
Out-of-sorts Sporting Gijon will look to put an end to their three-game losing run when they take on Albacete on Matchday 7. Los Rojiblancos do not seem to be at their sharpest, with the team slipping down the standings week by week, but they are seen as favourites to win Sunday’s clash. As both Corredera and Rosas are banned for the match, home win should not be considered.
El Queso Mecanico, on the other hand, aim to build on a 2-0 win over Real Valladolid. Albacete, though, have yet to record a win on the road this season, which is probably the main reason why we are going to place our bets on draw. Forward Higinio Marin is sidelined through suspension, while midfielder Antonio Pacheco misses out with injury for the visiting team. In their last meeting at Estadio El Molinon, Albacete defeated Sporting Gijon 2-0.

Sporting Gijon are a Spanish football club that competes in La Liga. Sporting Gijon’s home ground is El Molinon, the stadium that was built in 1908. El Molinon is the oldest football field in Spain and the capacity of the stadium is 30,000. Sporting Gijon’s home kit is red and white and the club’s main rivals are Real Oviedo.
The two teams take on each other in the Asturian derby.
