Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
Girona and Tenerife square off against each other at Estadio Municipal de Montilivi in a highly-anticipated La Liga 2 game. The Catalans quickly bounced back from a 3-0 loss to Cartagena, with the team beating Alcorcon in their last league match. Girona regained a much-needed confidence, but they need to keep on impressing in the season finale if they are to make it to the playoffs.
Pol Lozano is banned for the match, while both Valery Fernandez and Ramon Terrats should miss out with injuries. Los Insulares, on the other hand, did well to beat Lugo 2-0 in their last league match to retain 4th place in the standings. Tenerife, though, will have a much bigger fish to fry in Monday’s clash, and, taking everything into account, the share of spoils is on the horizon. Both Alex Munoz and Samuel Shashoua are out of contention with injuries for the visiting side.
Highlighted Player (Victor Sanchez):
Victor Sanchez began his senior career at Barcelona, playing eight games for the Catalan giants in La Liga. The midfielder, who is capable of playing as a defender as well, signed a three-and-a-half year deal with los Periquitos and he has been playing for the club ever since. Victor Sanchez won the Champions League, La Liga and Copa del Rey trophies in the 2008/2009 season with Barcelona. He has yet to make his Spain debut, but he has three caps for Catalonia.

Tenerife participated in the UEFA Cup in the 1993/94 season, with the team eliminating the likes of Auxerre and Olympiakos before losing to Juventus in the last 16.
