Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
All eyes will be on Estadio La Rosaleda when Malaga and Deportivo La Coruna, the two old rivals, face each other in the La Liga 2 derby. Los Boquerones aim to build on back-to-back wins over Eldense and Sporting Gijon and they must be high on confidence ahead of Saturday’s clash. Veteran forward Dioni is pushing for a start after scoring a brace against los Rojiblancos, while Sergio Castel remains in the recovery room. Chupete is a major doubt.
The Galicians, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 4-0 loss to Mirandes, which is yet another reason why we are going to bet on the in-form hosts. To make things even worse for the away team, midfielder Diego Villares is banned for the match. In their last meeting in Andalusia, back in 2020, Malaga defeated Deportivo La Coruna 1-0 thanks to Hicham Boussefiane’s goal.
