Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
There will be fireworks when Mallorca and Leganes face each other at Visit Mallorca Estadi in the Segunda Division derby. Mallorca are eager to cement their spot in top two, and we are positive that they will go for a win in Thursday’s football match. Aleksandar Trajkovski is on international duty with North Macedonia, with Martin Valjent and Lago Junior representing Slovakia and Ivory Coast respectively in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
Since key attacker Ndiaye remains sidelined through injury, we do not believe that there is a big value in betting on the home team. Leganes, on the other hand, head into the match following a 1-1 draw with Almeria. Even though experienced midfielder Ruben Perez is banned for the match, we are tempted to put our money on draw as they Mallorca head into the derby with a severely-weakened squad.
Highlighted Player (Aleksandar Trajkovski):
Aleksandar Trajkovski is a Macedonian international who played for Cementarnica 55 during his youth career. He made 11 league appearances for the club at senior level as well and in 2010 he moved to Croatian team Inter Zapresic.
The attacking midfielder failed to prove his worth in the 2010/2011 season and, as a result, he was sold to Zulte Waregem in the summer of 2011. He played an important role in the Belgian team from 2011 to 2015 as he scored 11 goals in 83 league appearances for the club. It has to be noted, though, that Trajkovski spend the 2013/2014 season on loan at Mechelen. In 2015 he was named Macedonian Footballer of the Year and the same year he signed a contract with Italian side Palermo.
Speaking of his international career, Aleksandar Trajkovski has 15 caps for Macedonia U21 and he made his debut for the senior team on 10 August, 2011 in a friendly against Azerbaijan.
Highlighted Team (Leganes):
Leganes are a Spanish football club that have mostly been playing in lower leagues. Los Pepineros play their home games at Batarque (Madrid) and the capacity of the stadium is just 8,138. Leganes secured their promotion to the Spanish La Liga for the first time ever in 2016 and, no doubt, that is considered the club’s biggest success.
Leganes’ bitterest rivals are fellow capital club Getafe and there have always been fireworks when the two teams take on each other in the South Madrid derby.
The colour of the team’s home kit is white and blue, whilst their away kits are green. The likes of Pierre Webo, Samuel Eto’o, Ivan Zarandona, Jose Chamot, Catanha, Ruben Falcon, Jordi Lardin and Pedro Lago are famous players who were part of the Batarque outfit in the past. Lady Maria Victoria Pavon is the first female president in the history of the club and she has been in charge of the club since 2009.
