Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
Following a heart-breaking loss at Las Palmas, Real Oviedo will look to sneak into the playoffs with a win over Ibiza on the last day of the season. This has to go down as a must-win game for los Azules, and we are positive that they will leave their hearts on the field. Even though defender Pierre Cornud misses out through suspension, we are going to put our money on the promotion-chasing hosts.
Ibiza, on the other hand, do not seem to be at the top of their game in the season finale, with the team conceding six goals in total in back-to-back losses to Mirandes (0-4) and Real Valladolid (1-2). Since Los Celestes have nothing to play for in Sunday’s showdown, we predict that Real Oviedo are going to pick up vital three points from the match. To make things even worse for the away team, midfielder Manuel Molina is banned for the game.
Highlighted Player (Alejandro Arribas ):
Born in Madrid, Spain on May 1, 1989, Alejandro Arribas is a Spanish footballer who plays for Real Oviedo in La Liga 2. Arribas is a very experienced defender as he played for Primera Division sides Rayo Vallecano, Osasuna, Deportivo La Coruna and Sevilla in the past.
He is a product of Rayo Majadahonda football school, but he did not see any game action with the club at senior level. Alejandro Arribas played for Mexican club UNAM before signing a three-year deal with Real Oviedo in the summer of 2019.
He made his debut with los Azules in a 2-1 loss to Fuenlabrada on August 31, 2019. The towering defender has never received a call-up for the Spain national football team. His main position is centre-back, but he can be used as a right-back as well if needed. The right-footed footballer has a contract with Real Oviedo until June 30, 2021.
