Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
Racing Santander and Mirandes face each other at Estadio El Sardinero in the opening match of Saturday’s program. Los Racinguistas aim to build on a 3-1 win over Elche and a triumph over Mirandes will see them stay in the playoffs berth. Bear in mind, though, that all Inigo Sainz-Maza, Mario Garcia, Fernandez, and Castellano are banned for the match.
Los Rojillos, on the other hand, are only three points clear of the relegation zone. Mirandes aim to recover from a 1-0 loss to Real Valladolid and given the number of absentees in the home team, we predict that the visitors are going to grab something from Saturday’s clash. Midfielder Mathis Lachuer is banned for the match, while defender Pablo Ramon is a major doubt and the 22-year-old will be assessed ahead of the kick-off. In their last meeting in the Spanish second tier the two sides played out a goalless draw.
Highlighted Team (Mirandes):
Mirandes is a Spanish club founded on May 3, 1927. Los Rojillos compete in Segunda division, with the team still eyeing their first ever promotion to La Liga. Mirandes’ home colours are red and black, while their away kit is mainly light blue.
Mirandes did remarkably well to make it to the Copa del Rey semis in the 2019/20 season, with the team outplaying the likes of Celta, Villarreal, and Sevilla in the process. Real Sociedad, though, proved to be a big catch for Mirandes in the Spanish Cup semis. Los Rojillos welcome their rivals at Estadio Municipal de Anduva. The stadium was opened back in 1950, with the venue being able to host 5,759 spectators.
Mirandes played their first game on June 4, 1927, with the team defeating Arabarra thanks to Fidel Angulo’s goal. Zaragoza and Alaves are considered one of the club’s main rivals. Los Rojillos have won Castilla and Leon Cup on two occasions (2011, 2012).
