Despite having their ups and downs in preseason, La Pucela are seen as hot favourites to win Friday’s clash, but the newcomers should not be written off just yet. Valladolid chiefs have pocketed a significant sum from Raul Moro’s move to Ajax and, in his absence, a man to watch in the home team will be Senegal striker Mamadou Sylla.
Os Caballas, on the other hand, have won each of their last three warm-up games, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry at “Jose Zorilla”. As Valladolid are a more experienced side than Ceuta, we predict that the visitors are going to return home empty-handed. Ceuta summer signing Anuar is likely to make life difficult for his former teammates in the opening match of the season.
