The sparkles will fly when Bari and Palermo lock horns in the opening match of the season at Stadio San Nicola. Bari did well to make it to the Serie B playoffs final last season, but Cagliari proved to be a big catch for them in the decider. The Galletti are eager to continue where they left last term, but they face fellow promotion hopefuls in the season opener. One of the men to watch in the home team will be loanee Giuseppe Sibilli, who is likely to make his Bari debut against Palermo.
The Sicilians, on the other hand, aim to recover from the Coppa Italia loss to Cagliari, but seeing that Bari are tough to beat at home, we do not believe that they are capable of grabbing more than one point from the match.
