Our prediction for this Serie B match:
Sunday’s football game at Stadio Nicola Ceravolo pits together Catanzaro and Brescia, the two playoffs-chasing sides. Catanzaro have subscribed to sharing the spoils with their rivals and it has to be noted that they have drawn eight of their last nine Serie B games. Midfielder Marco Pompetti is banned for the match, but there are no fresh injury worries in the home team.
Le Rondinelle, on the other hand, head into the game following a 1-1 draw with Bari. Brescia, though, continue to struggle on the travels, which is probably the main reason why we are going to place our bets on Catanzaro. In their last meeting in the Italian second tier Catanzaro defeated Brescia 4-2, which is yet another reason why we are going to bet on the home side. There are no fresh injury worries in the away team ahead of the trip to Calabria.
Highlighted Team (Brescia):
Hosting their rivals at Stadio Mario Rigamonti, the stadium with the capacity of 16,743, Brescia are Italian team founded back in 1911 under the name of Brescia Football Club. Le Rondinelle are well known for their blue and white shirts, but white is dominant colour in their away kit.
Atalanta are considered one of the club’s fiercest rivals, with the two teams facing each other in the Derby of Lombardy. The Stadio Mario Rigamonti outfit have rivalries with the likes of Inter, Hellas Verona and Cremonese as well. Roberto Baggio, who has 56 caps with the Italy national football team, is considered the most famous footballer who played for Brescia.
Robi scored 45 goals in 95 appearances in the Serie A for le Rondinelle. It has to be noted that the likes of Andrea Pirlo, Gheorge Hagi, Pep Guardiola, Luca Toni, Luigi Di Biagio and Dario Hubner were part of Brescia in the past as well. However, Mario Rigamonti is the club’s biggest legend as he died in the Superga air disaster back in 1949.
