Catanzaro will be looking to bounce back from the Coppa Italia loss to Sassuolo when they kickstart their Serie B campaign with a home game against Sudtirol. The Giallorossi suffered a 2-1 loss to Napoli in preseason, but their display against the Serie A champions was anything but poor. Experienced forward Marco D’Alessandro is pushing for a start after coming as a substitute in the Italian Cup defeat.
The Biancorossi, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 3-1 loss to Como. As both Sudtirol and Catanzaro are eager to get back on course, we are tempted to place our bets on both teams to score. Midfielder Karim Zedadka is injured for the away team, while forward Raphael Odogwu is expected to return to the starting XI. In their last meeting in the Italian second tier, the two teams played out a 1-1 draw.
