Our prediction for this Serie B match:
Mapei Stadium – Città del Tricolore will host Tuesday’s Serie B game between Reggiana and Brescia, the two teams who are sitting in the opposite halves of the table. Reggiana aim to build on a hard-fought 1-0 win over Sampdoria and a triumph over Brescia could see them climb to the automatic promotion berth. Natan Girma remains doubtful after undergoing a knee surgery, while there are no fresh injury concerns in the home team.
Le Rondinelle, on the other hand, failed to impress in a 1-0 loss to Cittadella and they will have yet another big fish to fry against Reggiana. As Brescia are not considered good travellers, we predict that the hosts are going to pick up all three points from the match. You should bear in mind, though, that the two sides have shared the spoils in each of their last three meetings in the Italian top flight. Rolando Maran has a full squad to choose from as well.
Highlighted Team (Brescia):
Hosting their rivals at Stadio Mario Rigamonti, the stadium with the capacity of 16,743, Brescia are Italian team founded back in 1911 under the name of Brescia Football Club. Le Rondinelle are well known for their blue and white shirts, but white is dominant colour in their away kit.
Atalanta are considered one of the club’s fiercest rivals, with the two teams facing each other in the Derby of Lombardy. The Stadio Mario Rigamonti outfit have rivalries with the likes of Inter, Hellas Verona and Cremonese as well. Roberto Baggio, who has 56 caps with the Italy national football team, is considered the most famous footballer who played for Brescia.
Robi scored 45 goals in 95 appearances in the Serie A for le Rondinelle. It has to be noted that the likes of Andrea Pirlo, Gheorge Hagi, Pep Guardiola, Luca Toni, Luigi Di Biagio and Dario Hubner were part of Brescia in the past as well. However, Mario Rigamonti is the club’s biggest legend as he died in the Superga air disaster back in 1949.
