Our prediction for this Serie B match:
Sampdoria and Palermo, the two old rivals, face each other at Stadio Luigi Ferraris in the closing match of Saturday’s program. La Samp aim to make amends for a heavy Coppa Italia loss (0-4) to Salernitana and we are positive that they will adopt an attack-oriented strategy against Palermo. Both Petar Stojanovic and Alex Ferrari are sidelined with injuries, while the likes of Lorenzo Malagrida, Nicola Murru, and Leonardo Benedetti are major doubts.
The Sicilians, on the other hand, failed to impress in a 2-1 loss to newcomers Lecco, which is probably the main reason why we are going to bet on the hosts. Aljosa Vasic limped off with injury in the last league match, with Liam Henderson likely to step up. Mamadou Coulibaly faces race against the clock to be fit for Saturday’s showdown as well as Francesco Di Mariano and Alessio Buttaro.
