Our prediction for this Serie B match:
Sudtirol will be aiming to build on a 3-1 win over Sampdoria when they welcome Palermo to their Stadio Marco Druso on Matchday 3. Fabrizio Castori’s men looked sharp up front against La Samp and we predict that they will stick to their attacking style of play in Sunday’s clash. Silvio Merkaj limped off with injury in the last league match, with Alessandro Mallamo being No. 1 candidate to replace him in the starting XI.
The Sicilians, on the other hand, head into the match following a goalless draw with Frosinone. Palermo are seen as one of the main favourites for promotion, but given Sudtirol’s fine performance against Sampdoria, we are tempted to place our bets on draw. Goalkeeper Alfred Gomis remains on the sidelines, but the 32-year-old should be the only absentee in the visiting team. Summer signing Antonio Palumbo is pushing for his first start of the season.
