Our prediction for this Serie B match:
Ternana and Parma go head to head at Stadio Libero Liberati in the Serie B round 5. Following three consecutive defeats in the Serie B, Ternana shared the spoils with Monza in their last league match to give fans something to cheer about. I Rossoverdi are desperate to record their first win of the season, but they will have a big fish to fry in Wednesday’s football match. Both Alessandro Celli and Gabriele Capanni are sidelined with injuries, while Salim Diakite is a major doubt.
Parma, on the other hand, aim to bounce back from a 2-1 loss to Cremonese. The Gli Emiliani look sharp in front of goal, and seeing that Ternana are likely to adopt an attack-minded approach as well, both teams to score betting option should be considered. Franco Vazquez is banned for the visitors, while all Drissa Gui Camara, Yordan Osorio, and Gennaro Tutino are out of contention with injuries for the visiting team.
Highlighted Player (Andreas Cornelius):
The 23-year-old Danish international Andreas Cornelius plays as a striker for F.C. Copenhagen. Product of the youth set-up, Cornelius started his professional career at F.C. Copenhagen in 2012 when he joined the first-team of the Danish giants. His first goal for Copenhagen came in the very first game of the new season 2012-13 against Odense, when Cornelius scored an opening goal in a 2-2 draw.
Cornelius’ immediate impact and impression in the first-team quickly made him the fan favourite. The Danish striker became one of the most popular players of the club despite playing only one full season with the first team before he was transferred to Cardiff City in 2013. Cornelius was unfortunate to sustain a recurrent ankle injury which prevented him from making his stamp in the new team and which also reduced his playing time to only 8 Premier League performances.
Not only did Cornelius miss three months of club football, but he also failed at the chance to compete for his country in their final qualification games for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Cornelius ended up returning to Copenhagen in January 2014, where he has so far played more than 65 matches and enjoyed 18 goals.
Highlighted Team (Parma):
Founded in 1913, Parma is considered one of the most famous Italian clubs. The Gialloblu play home games in white shirts with a dark blue cross and dark blue shorts. Speaking of their away colours, Parma footballers wear yellow-blue kits on the travels. Parma have yet to win the Serie A trophy, but they did well to lift the UEFA Cup trophy on two occasions (1994/1995, 1998/1999).
To make things even better for Parma fans, the Gialloblu won the European Cup Winners’ Cup in the 1992/1993 season, with the team beating Royal Antwerp in the title game 3-1. A number of top-class footballers played for Parma in the past: Hernan Crespo, Roberto Mancini, Juan Veron, Roberto Mancini, Dino Baggio, Fabio Cannavaro and Gianluigi Buffon.
The Gialloblu welcome their rivals at Stadio Ennio Tardini, which was opened in 1923. The venue can hold up to 27,906 spectators. Bologna are considered Parma’s biggest rivals and there have always been fireworks in matches between the two sides.
