Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Empoli will be looking to build on a 2-1 win over Sassuolo when they host Genoa to their Stadio Carlo Castellani on Matchday 12. The Gli Azzurri have been having their ups and downs of late, but the win at Sassuolo surely gave them a confidence boost. Midfielder Petar Stojanovic serves a one-game ban, while Furlan is a major doubt, and he will be assessed ahead of the match.
The Rossoblu, on the other hand, have been anything but impressive in the 2021/2022 Serie A season. Genoa have recorded only one win in the Italian top flight this term, and given Empoli’s display in the triumph over Sassuolo, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the hosts. All Destro, Maksimovic, Hernani, Bani, Vanheusden, Fares, and Cassata are out of contention with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the away team.
