Stadio Carlo Castellani will host Sunday’s Serie A game between Empoli and Sampdoria, the two teams who sit in the bottom half of the table. Following a historical 1-0 win at Juventus, Empoli suffered a shocking 2-1 loss to fellow newcomers Venezia at the weekend to drop to 12th place in the standings. The Gli Azzurri aim to return to winning ways as soon as possible, and they are likely to fight tooth and nail against Sampdoria.
Defender Riccardo Fiamozzi should be the only absentee in the home team. La Samp, on the other hand, are eyeing their first win of the process.
