Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Fiorentina and Spezia square off against each other at Stadio Artemio Franchi in the Serie A round 29. The Viola are not enjoying a season to remember, but they look unstoppable ahead of Sunday’s clash, with the team eyeing their sixth consecutive league win. Nikola Milenkovic should be recalled to the starting line-up after the Serbia defender came off the bench in a 1-0 win at Inter, whilst Sofyane Amrabat serves a one-match ban. The good news for the hosts is that experienced midfielder Danilo D’Ambrosio returns from suspension.
The Bianconeri, on the other hand, have been having their ups and downs of late, but given their poor away record (2-2-9), we predict that the in-form hosts are going to pick up all three points from the match. Reca and Moutinho should be the only absentees in the away team as Angola international M’Bala Nzola is back from suspension.
Highlighted Player (Christian Kouame):
Christian Kouame is an Ivory Coast international who has been playing for Serie A side Genoa since 2018. Kouame started his youth career at Prato and after ending his loan spells with the likes of Sassuolo and Inter, he returned to Stadio Lungobisenzio.
The 185-cm-tall forward made his professional debut with Prato on September 6, 2015 in a 2-1 loss to Pisa. Christian Kouame started the match, but he was replaced by Alberto Aladje after 66 minutes. The Genoa attacker, though, has yet to earn a call-up for the Ivory Coast national team. He has two caps for the Ivory Coast U23 team, but he is still eyeing his senior team debut.
His main position is centre-forward, but he is used as both left and right winger as well. The Genoa footballer was born in Abijan on December 6, 1997 and he has a contract with the Rossoblu until June 30, 2023.
Highlighted Team (Spezia):
Spezia is a professional Italian club based in Spezia, Liguria. The Bianconeri secured promotion to the Serie A in the 2019/20 season, with the team beating Frosinone in the Serie B playoffs final. Spezia are well known for their black and white home jerseys, and black is the dominant colour of their away kit.
The club’s home ground Stadio Alberto Picco has the capacity of 10,336 people. The venue was opened back in 1919, with architect Gregotti being in charge of the project. In 2002 the club chiefs decided to reach an agreement with Inter which saw Spezia become Inter’s feeder club.
As a result, the likes of Goran Pandev, Aco Stojkov, and Alex Cordaz joined the Bianconeri in the first season. Spezia then suffered a bankruptcy, but in 2008 they were re-founded. In the 2020/21 season the Bianconeri will compete in the Italian elite division for the first time ever.
