Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Fiorentina play host to Verona at their Stadio Artemio Franchi on day 13 of the new Serie A campaign. The Viola came from behind to share the spoils with Sassuolo on Wednesday evening, but they have not recorded a win in the Serie A since October 25. Cesare Prandelli’s men are desperate to return to winning ways, and the good news for the hosts is that influential midfielder Gaetano Castrovilli has overcome his injury.
The Mastini, on the other hand, have been having their ups and downs of late, with the team beating Lazio on the road, while losing to Sampdoria at home. Anyhow, a close encounter is on the cards at Stadio Artemio Franchi and we are tempted to put our money on draw. It has to be noted that in their last meeting in Florence the two teams played out a 1-1 draw.

Highlighted Player (Franck Ribery):

After playing for the likes of Boulougne, Ales, Brest and Metz in France, Frank Ribery joined Galatasaray in 2005, but he spent no more than six months at the club. The French winger, who was born on 7 April, 1983, returned to Ligue 1, signing a deal with Olympique Marseille. Ribery scored 11 goals in 60 league appearances for the OM and Bayern Munich scouts spotted him during the 2006/2007 season.
The French footballer signed a four-year deal with the Bavarians on 7 June, 2007 for a fee of €25 million. Ribery has been playing for the German giants ever since and it has to be noted that he won his sixth Bundesliga trophy in the 2015/2016 season and the Champions League title in 2013.
The Bayern Munich ace played for France at the 2006 FIFA World Cup and he made it to the final of the tournament with les Tricolores. He has 13 caps for France U21 team. Ribery’s younger brothers Francois and Steven are footballers as well.
Highlighted Team (Verona):

Founded back in 1903, Hellas Verona are a professional football club that compete in the Italian Serie A. The “Mastini” are well known for their yellow and blue jerseys and they welcome their opponents at Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi. Hellas Verona share rivalry with Chievo Verona and the two local rivals face each other in the “Derby della Scala”.
The first derby of Verona was played on November 18, 2001, with Hellas Verona emerging triumphant (3-2). In 1985 the Mastini won their first and only Scudetto, with the team finishing the season in top position in the Serie A standings, four points clear of second-placed Torino. The likes of Preben Elkjaer, Giuseppe Calderisi, Hans-Peter Briegel, Pietro Fanna and Antonio Di Gennaro led Hellas Verona to the historical success.
However, the most famous footballer who played for Verona is Romania international Adrian Mutu, who scored 16 goals in 57 appearances in the league for the Stadio Marc’ Antonio Bentegodi outfit. Verona will compete in the Italian top flight in the 2017/2018 season as they finished the 2016/2017 Serie B campaign in second position in the table.
