Genoa
Frosinone will look to make amends for a 2-0 loss to Inter when they take on Genoa at Stadio Benito Stirpe on Sunday afternoon. The Canarini are eyeing their third consecutive win at home ground, but they will have to showcase their worth on the field. Luca Mazzitelli, who limped off with injury in the last league match, is a major doubt, while both Abdou Harroui and Sergio Kalaj remain in the recovery room.
The Rossoblu, on the other hand, continue with their old habit of producing fine displays at home than on the travels, which is probably the main reason why we are going to bet on Frosinone. You should bear in mind that Genoa have already suffered four defeats on the road this term. As for the away team, all Mateo Retegui, Filip Jagiello, and Junior Messias are out of contention through injuries.

Gianluca Lapadula, also known as Lapagol, due to his goalscoring abilities, was born in Turin and started his career at Juventus youth team, but was released because he wasn’t doing well in his studies. After the departure with Juventus, Lapadula perfected his goalscoring skills in lower Italian leagues and even spent one year in NK Gorica, Slovenia.
During his spell in Ravenna, he managed to finish the season 2012/13 as the top scorer in the group, netting 24 goals in the process. For a long period of time, the 28-year-old was Parma’s player, but he went on loans often, and, after Parma went bankrupt, Lapagol moved to Pescara. With 30 goals in 43 appearances, the striker caught the eye of Serie A giant Milan. He netted his first goal for the Rossoneri only three minutes after he came on as a substitute.
The following season Lapagol became the striker of Genoa. Even though he was called to play for Peru, the Genoa hitman decided to represent Italy, getting his first call to the senior squad in November 2016. However, he never made an official appearance for Italy, since he only played an unofficial friendly against San Marino, when he scored a hat-trick.

Back in 1912 Frosinone were founded as Unione Sportiva Frusinate and it has to be noted that the colors of the team were originally red and blue. They were later changed to the current yellow and blue and the Canarini have been wearing those kits ever since. Frosinone made their first ever appearance in the Serie A in the 2015/2016 season, but they failed to secure the promotion.
The Canarini finished the season in 19th place in the standings, eight points behind Udinese, who eventually avoided relegation to Serie B. However, two years later Frosinone returned to the Italian top flight as they defeated Palermo 3-2 on aggregate in the play-offs final.
The club play their home games at Stadio Benito Stirpe, the stadium that was opened in 2017. The venue can hold 16,227 spectators and it is owned by the Municipality of Frosinone. The construction cost €20 million.
