Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Juventus quickly bounced back from a heart-breaking defeat to Porto in the Champions League last 16, with the team outplaying Cagliari 3-1 in Sardinia at the weekend. The Bianconeri do not want to give up on their Scudetto dream, and we are positive that they will fight tooth and nail against Benevento. Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored a hat-trick in the triumph over Cagliari, will be the man to keep an eye on in the home team.
Cuadrado is banned for the hosts, while Ramsey, Dybala, Buffon, and Demiral are sidelined with injuries. Alex Sandro is doubtful, whereas Bentacur has been tested positive for coronavirus. The Yellow-Reds, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 4-1 loss to Fiorentina, and even though Juve head into the match with a severely-weakened squad, home win should be considered. Both Schiattarella and Glik are suspended for the visitors, while Iago Falque, Letizia, and Depaoli remain in the treatment room.
Highlighted Player (Cristiano Ronaldo):
Cristiano Ronaldo is considered one of the world’s best football players. The Portuguese ace was born on 5 February, 1985 in Funchal, Madeira and he played for the likes of Andorinha, Nacional and Sporting during his youth career. CR7 made his Sporting debut in Primeira Liga on 7 October, 2002, scoring two goals in a 3-0 win over Moreirense.
Manchester United scouts spotted him and one year later he joined the Old Trafford outfit. Ronaldo became the most expensive teenager in the history of the Premier League and he received the number 7 shirt. He quickly established himself as the team’s key player and it has to be noted that he won three consecutive Premier League trophies with the Red Devils (2006/2007, 2007/2008, 2008/2009). In 2008 he helped the Old Trafford outfit beat Chelsea in the Champions League final, scoring for Alex Ferguson’s troops in the regular time.
Ronaldo joined Real Madrid in 2009 and he helped the Spanish giants with two Champions League trophies. In 2016 he won the European Championship trophy with Portugal. The Real Madrid ace has two Golden Ball awards (2013, 2014).
Highlighted Team (Benevento):
FC Benevento secured promotion to the Serie A for the first time in their history at the end of the 2016/2017 campaign, but it has to be noted that they finished the regular season in 5th place in the standings. The Stregoni (Witches) did well to beat Perugia and Carpi in the promotion play-offs and, as a result, they are going to taste a top-flight football.
Benevento were founded in 1929 as Associazione Calcio Benevento and back then they played their home games at Meomartini, the venue which was built by Ciccio Minocchia. Nowadays, the Stregoni welcome their rivals at Stadio Giro Vigorito and the capacity of the stadium is 12.847. Benevento are well known for their yellow jerseys with red stripes, whilst they wear white shirts and white shorts when playing on the travels.
After Napoli, Salernitana and Avellino Benevento become the fourth club from Campania to compete in the Serie A. Matches between the aforementioned teams are well known as Campania derbies.
