Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Buoyed by a hard-fought 1-0 win over Udinese, Lazio will be looking to give fans yet another reason for celebration when they take on Spezia at Stadio Olimpico. The Biancocelesti are eager to keep their Champions League hopes alive, and we are positive that they will go all-out attack in Saturday’s football match. Since Simone Inzaghi has a full squad to choose from, except for Luiz Felipe and Fares, we believe that home win should be considered.
The Bianconeri, on the other hand, are tough to beat at home, but given their three-game losing run on the road, we believe that punters can find value in betting on the capital club. In the first half of the season Lazio defeated Spezia, which is yet another reason why we are tempted to put our money on the home side. All Estevez, Ramos, Galabinov, and Saponara are out of contention for the visitors.
Highlighted Player (Davide di Gennaro):
Davide Di Gennaro is an Italian footballer who was born in Milan on 16 June, 1988. The attacking midfielder played for his home-town club AC Milan during his youth career and he made one appearance for the Rossoneri in the Serie A.
Davide di Gennaro spent several seasons on loan at Bologna, Genoa, Reggina, Livorno, Padova and Modena and in 2012 he signed a deal with Spezia. The Italian footballer scored nine goals in 34 league appearances for the club in the 2012/2013 season and at the end of the season he joined Palermo. Davide di Gennaro signed a three-year deal with the Sicilian outfit, but he made no more than 14 league appearances for the club between 2013 and 2015.
On 8 September 2014 he was sent to Vicenza on loan. Finally, in the summer of 2015 he signed a contract with Cagliari. It has to be noted that Davide di Gennaro has 5 caps for Italy U21. The Cagliari midfielder is capable of playing as a left winger as well.
Highlighted Team (Spezia):
Spezia is a professional Italian club based in Spezia, Liguria. The Bianconeri secured promotion to the Serie A in the 2019/20 season, with the team beating Frosinone in the Serie B playoffs final. Spezia are well known for their black and white home jerseys, and black is the dominant colour of their away kit.
The club’s home ground Stadio Alberto Picco has the capacity of 10,336 people. The venue was opened back in 1919, with architect Gregotti being in charge of the project. In 2002 the club chiefs decided to reach an agreement with Inter which saw Spezia become Inter’s feeder club.
As a result, the likes of Goran Pandev, Aco Stojkov, and Alex Cordaz joined the Bianconeri in the first season. Spezia then suffered a bankruptcy, but in 2008 they were re-founded. In the 2020/21 season the Bianconeri will compete in the Italian elite division for the first time ever.
