Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Torino will be aiming to maintain their strong start to the season as they host Lecce in Serie A round 4. The Granata have impressed with their recent wins over Atalanta and Venezia, and they’ve been particularly dominant at home. Ivan Jurić's side has no fresh injury concerns, giving them the full squad depth to continue their solid form.
Lecce, on the other hand, have struggled away from home and face an uphill battle in this fixture. The Giallorossi will be without important midfielder Patrick Dorgu, who is sidelined through suspension, further weakening their chances of overcoming a tough Torino side. While Lecce have shown resilience in parts of the season, their away performances remain a concern. With Torino’s solid home record and their promising early-season form, home win should definitely be considered this time out. Taking everything into account, we predict that the hosts are going to pick up all three points from the match.
Highlighted Player (Duvan Zapata):
Duvan Zapata was born in Cali, Colombia on 1 April, 1991. The 186-cm-tall attacker started his youth career at America de Cali, playing for the club between 2004 and 2008. In 2008 he made his debut for the first team and three years later he scored his first hat-trick for the Colombian outfit, in a 3-2 win over Deportivo Pereira.
In 2011 he signed a loan deal with Estudiantes and he found the net for the Argentine team on his debut against Belgrano. After scoring 11 goals in 37 appearances for Estudiantes, the Colombian striker joined Napoli in 2013, but he failed to establish himself as a first-choice attacker.
On 22 July, 2015 Zapata joined fellow Serie A team Udinese on loan and it has to be noted that he scored eight goals in 24 league appearances for the Zebrette. Duvan Zapata has 5 caps for Colombia U20 team, but he has yet to make his debut for the senior side.
Highlighted Team (Lecce):
When you imagine a yellow-red shirt, Lecce must be the first club that comes to your mind. Founded back in 1908, Lecce are Italian club that will compete in the Serie A in the 2019/2020 season. The Giallorossi return to the Italian top flight following a seven-year absence and, as always, they will host their rivals at Stadio Via del Mare.
The venue which was opened on September 11, 1966 can hold up to 33,876 people. The likes of Antonio Conte, Graziano Pelle, Javier Chevanton, Juan Cuadrado, Mirko Vucinic, Fabrizio Miccoli and Massimo Oddo are one of the most notable footballers who played for the Italian club in the past.
Lecce and Gallipoli face each other in the Salento derby and there have been fireworks in meetings between the two clubs since the 2009/2010 Serie B season when they first met in the league.
