Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Verona and Empoli square off against each other at Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi in the opening match of Sunday’s program. Verona suffered a dip in form, with the team losing to both Torino and Atalanta in the previous two league matches and, as a result, their Serie A status is in great danger. The Mastini face a must-win situation against Empoli and we are positive that they will go all guns blazing at the Azzurri. All Ondrej Duda, Josh Doig, and Pawel Dawidowicz are sidelined with injuries, while both Kevin Lasagna and Thomas Henry are major doubts.
Empoli, on the other hand, have been producing excellent displays of late, with the team rolling over Juventus 4-1 on Monday. The Azzurri, though, head into the season finale with the lack of motivation, which is probably the main reason why home win should be considered. With no fresh injury worries to report, Paolo Zanetti is unlikely to make changes to the team that crushed “the Old Lady”.
