Our prediction for this Taca de Portugal match:
Gil Vicente will look to put an end to their five-game losing run when they face Sporting CP in the Taca de Portugal quarter-finals. Os Galos are running down a blind alley and they face yet another difficult task against Sporting CP. Angola defender Sandro Cruz is widely expected to return to the starting XI, while midfielder Santiago Garcia is back from the Primeira Liga ban. The Lions, on the other hand, dropped a two-goal advantage in a 2-2 draw with AVS in their last league game.
Sporting CP are still leading the chase for the Primeira Liga title, but they have big ambitions for the Portuguese Cup as well. Anyhow, away win should be considered as Gil Vicente suffered a dip in form. The good news for the away team is that Danish midfielder Morten Hjumland is back from suspension. As always, the opposition defenders should have Sporting top scorer Viktor Gyokeres at bay.
