There will be fireworks when Colombia and Ecuador square off against each other at Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Melandez. Colombia aim to recover from a 3-2 loss to Uruguay and they are seen as favourites to win Tuesday’s clash. James Rodriguez is widely expected to return to the starting XI, with Carlos Andres Gomez pushing for a start as well after getting his name on the scoresheet in Montevideo. Talented Aston Villa striker Duran is widely expected to lead the line for the hosts.
La Tri, on the other hand, faced no difficulties in a 4-0 win over Bolivia, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry in Barranquilla. As Colombia are a real force to be reckoned with at home, we predict that the visitors will return to Quito empty-handed. Bearing any fresh injury worries, Sebastian Beccacece is unlikely to make changes to the team that outplayed La Verde.
