Our prediction for this Africa Cup of Nations 2024 match:
Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo will host Saturday’s AFCON third-place playoff clash between Burkina Faso and Cameroon. Burkina Faso aim to make amends for a 3-1 loss to Senegal, but they will have a mountain to climb in the game against the tournament hosts. Dango Ouattara is back from suspension, while first-choice goalkeeper Herve Koffi should recover in time to face the Indomitable Lions.
Cameroon, on the other hand, aim to bounce back from a heart-breaking loss to Egypt. Toni Conceicao’s troops are determined to win the bronze medal at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, and seeing that Burkina Faso experienced all sorts of problems at the back in the semis, away win should be considered. Both Lea and N’Jie are pushing for a start, while a man to watch in Toni Conceicao’s team will be Vincent Aboubakar, who has netted six goals at the showpiece tournament so far.

He made his Champions League debut for the Amsterdammers against Rostov on August, 2016. Bertrand, though, is still a Chelsea player and his contract with the Stamford Bridge outfit expires on 30 June, 2019. Traore a winger, but he is capable of playing as a centre forward as well.

The same year he won the Africa under 17 championship with Burkina Faso as the Stallions defeated Rwanda in the final of the tournament.

The Indomitable Lions made 7 appearances at the World Cup finals and they recorded their best result at the major tournament in 1990. Cameroon made it to the 1990 World Cup quarter-finals by beating Colombia in the last 16, but England proved to be a big catch for the African team.
Speaking of African Cup of Nations, Cameroon clinched their fourth CAN trophy in 2002, when they defeated Senegal in the title game. A number of world-class footballers played for the Indomitable Lions in the past and the likes of Samuel Eto’o, Rigobert Song, Roger Milla, Patrick M’Boma, Stephane Mbia and Geremi are the most notable players who were part of the Cameroonian national football team.
