Our prediction for this Africa Cup of Nations 2024 match:
Stade de Yamoussoukro will host Friday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Ivory Coast and Zambia. The Elephants missed out on a place at the 2022 World Cup finals, and, no doubt, they are eager to make amends for the unsuccessful qualifying campaign. All Wilfried Kanon, Jean-Daniel Akpa-Akpro, Jeremie Boga, and Christian Kouame have been recalled to the national team, while the likes of Emmanuel Agbadou, Ismael Diallo, Wilfried Singo, Fousseny Coulibaly, and Hamed Traore Junior have been omitted.
As always, a man to watch in the home team will be Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha. The Cooper Bullets, on the other hand, were involved in three friendly games in March, with the team losing to both Iraq and Benin, while beating Congo. Zambia are not regarded as good travelers, and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Ivory Coast’s party at Stade de Yamoussoukro. A man to watch in the away team will be Leicester City attacker Patson Daka.
