Our prediction for this Belgium Pro League match:
Buoyed by a 2-1 win over St Gilloise in the Belgian Super Cup, Club Brugge will look to give fans yet another reason to celebrate when they kickstart the new Jupiler League campaign with a home game against Genk. Club Brugge failed to defend their Jupiler League title last term and, no doubt, they are determined to regain the trophy. The club chiefs have signed the likes of Carlos Forbs, Nicolo Tresoldi, and Ludovit Reis in the summer transfer window, with trio Maxim De Cuyper, Chemsdine Talbi, and Ferran Jutgla leaving Jan Breydel Stadion outfit.
Genk, on the other hand, defeated the likes of Fortuna Sittard and Eendr. Termien in pre-season friendlies, while sharing the spoils with La Liga side Rayo Vallecano. Thorsten Fink’s troops, though, have suffered a loss in each of their last four meetings with Club Brugge at Jan Breydel Stadion, which is probably the main reason why home victory should be considered.
