Our prediction for this Belgium Pro League match:
Friday’s football game between Mechelen and Club Brugge will open round 2 of the new Jupiler League campaign. Mechelen were more than unfortunate not to beat Waregem in their opener, with Sven Vandenbroeck’s troops scoring the equalizer late in the stoppage time. The Yellow-Reds now aim to make life difficult for the Belgian powerhouse and Benito Raman’s return from suspension should give them a timely boost.
Club Brugge, on the other hand, came from behind to beat Genk 2-1 in their season opener, but defeating Mechelen on the road is easier said than done. A close encounter is on the cards at AFAS-stadion Achter de Kazerne and we predict that the two sides are going to share the spoils on Matchday 2. Joel Ordonez is banned for the visiting side, while Raphael Onyedika remains doubtful. Duo Nilsson – Sabbe remains in the recovery room.
