Our prediction for this Belgium Pro League match:
High-flying Mechelen will be aiming to extend their winning run to four games when they take on Westerlo on Friday evening. Mechelen have been scoring goals for of late and, as a result, the bookies see them as favourites to beat Westerlo in front of home fans. Midfielder Mory Konate is banned for the match, while all Toon Raemaekers, Norman Bassette, Lion Lauberbach, and Ngal’ayel Mukau are sidelined with injuries.
The visiting team, on the other hand, failed to impress in back-to-back defeats to St. Truiden and Charleroi, which is yet another reason why we are going to bet on the home team. As for the away side, both Romeo Vermant and Lucas Stassin are sidelined with injuries, while Ilias El Hari faces race against the clock to be fit for the round 29 opener. Iran international Allahyar Sayyadmanesh is widely expected to return to the starting XI.
